I have been away from blogland for a while. It has been a little busy around our house. Emily came into town so we tried to have alot of fun with the kids. Here is a little of what we did while she was here.
Played in the Sandbox

Hung out at the Creek

Watched a Parade

Hung out with Family & Friends

Explored Gardner Village

Browsed the Candy Store and Enjoyed Treats
Made new quilts for Ellie & Trevor
That's the sum up of our last week or so.

Summer is a great time to do fun activities with the kids. My dad and Janet planned a day at Lagoon for the kids to enjoy. In anticipation of the big day Logan and Noelle looked up pictures of the park online and spent time planning which rides to ride and in which order. I'm so glad Sarah, Rebecca, and Nate were able to join us. It really worked out well, everyone had a buddy!

Logan is so BRAVE! I could not believe he was so willing to go on some pretty intense rides. Noelle always has a good time, and Lila was content (most of the time) just watching the fun from her stroller. Noelle's favortie ride ended up being WICKED, Logan's favorite was probably RATTLESNAKE RAPIDS, Lila loved the CAROUSEL and all the kids loved LAGOON-A-BEACH!
Thanks Dad & Janet for a super fun day!

Some of my favorites!
My cute sister posted a list on her blog of some of her favorite things. Noelle followed, and then my cute niece did the same. I am now inspired to post a list of my own. Here goes nothing...just a few of my faves!

I have been taking alot of pictures lately and I love my camera with only one slight complaint. When the strap is around my neck, the weight of my camera makes the strap a little uncomfortable. I made this strap cover out of fabric scraps in hope that it will solve my problem. It seems to be working.

Summer is here! I love summer and all the things that come with it- swimming, playing outside, evening walks, fresh fruits and vegetables, vacations, spending time with my kids, etc. However...there is one thing I hate! It's hard to believe something so small can elicit such strong feelings from me, but I just can't help it. Otter Pops are the worst things ever invented if you ask me. I know the kids love them and I will occasionally buy them and then curse the wretched things until the box is gone and swear I will never buy another. When Emily was cleaning out her freezer before their big move she gave my kids a fresh box of the little treasures:) Trying to be a good mom I put them in the freezer for my kids to enjoy. I am now at the time mentioned above where I am cursing whoever had the brilliant idea to put super sticky "juice" in a very flimsy plastic casing that needs it's top cut off before a child can eat it. Let's just say I have mopped my floor 3 times in the past week or so, and that is not counting the spot clean ups here and there. And if I find one more little plastic piece with a tiny puddle of sticky juice anywhere, or anymore empty wrappers in my window wells I might just tear my hair out. This morning before my kids woke up I snuck downstairs and pulled the remaining otter pops out of the freezer and hid them. Shhhhh, don't tell! When Lila woke up and asked for one, (that's right...my 1 1/2 year old can clearly say "Otter Pop?") I was happy to open the freezer and say "All Gone!"
Bagging on otter pops aside, I am glad it's summer!
I know Lay's slogan is "Nobody can eat just one!" but I think Otter Pops should take it over. My kids eat one after another, after another, after another, after another, after another, after another, after another, after another.....hmmmm, I wonder how long it will take my kids to convince me to buy another box.
