Gavin had to go to Las Vegas on business a few weeks ago so we decided to make a weekend of it. It was so nice to spend some time together. We were able to go visit Ninnie while in St. George. Thanks dad for letting us stay at your place.

I finished the binding on this quilt during the drive to Vegas.

After the weekend, Em came down with all the kids and then Gav headed home. Dad & Janet, and Eric & Tobin's family also joined us and of course we had fun swimming, playing at the splash park, hiking, lizard hunting, & exploring Zion's. Noelle was also able to squeeze in a trip to the St. George temple to do baptisms for the dead. While in Zion's we hiked to the Upper Emerald Pools which are so beautiful (the pictures don't do it justice.) Eric was the only one brave enough (or should I say dumb enough) to actually jump in the water. The water was freezing and there were "No Swimming" signs posted. Thanks Er for the laugh:) My kids were such troopers, even Lila. She hiked up with me just holding her hand until we passed the Middle Pools and then I carried her the rest of the way. Everyone slept well after that! Sorry about all the pictures. I took over 400 so it was hard to narrow down.

I am so, so sad! After knowing for several months that Emily and her family would be moving to California, they are gone. I feel as though a piece of my heart is missing. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, sweet, and caring sister. Not only is she a fabulous sister, but definitely a great friend. I've always felt that having her means I have a best friend. I am going to miss her like crazy.

After everyone came to help Em and Bri move yesterday we had a bbq at my house. Emily and her family slept over, and after a big breakfast of pancakes, eggs, and bacon (Ellie's request,) and lots of hugs and tears all around they were on their way.

I love you Em-drive safe! Miss you already.

Our New Family Pets! Can you believe I just said that? That's right, I finally gave in and said yes to a pet. Or, should I say pet's. Two weeks ago while down in St. George (more to come on that) hanging out with my Dad and Janet, Logan with the help of Ellie and Janet was able to catch two lizards. I thought he would lose interest after a few days of playing with them, but unfortunately that was not the case. There was no way we were leaving to come home without them. So, with a shoebox full of red sand held tightly by a very curious 6 year old boy, two lizards made their way north to become a part of the Spencer family. On our way home I called and warned Gavin of what was coming. The kids and I arrived to a new terrarium and a bag of crickets.

Emma- Named by Ellie

Destroyer- Named by Logan (how appropriate)

My gift to our beautiful baby Pearl! Welcome, we love you! Congratulations John & Liz!
