Our little Lila monkey is 2!

I can't believe she is already 2 years old, where has the time gone? We had a fun little celebration for her with some friends and grandparents (none of them pictured, because she would not sit still for the second it takes to take a picture...oh well.) She was so excited to check out her presents, especially her new pink and purple bike!

Happy Birthday little one, we love you!

Lila's hair seems to have a mind of it's own!

I am always ready for a little giggle when I walk into Lila's room in the morning. Her hair seems to do the funniest things. I don't know if she is a crazy sleeper or what, but she has some of the best "BED HEAD" I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. I make sure to walk her by a mirror so she can laugh at herself as well. This morning her hair was sticking straight up in the front, Logan said he thought she looked like a rhinoceros. So... of course we had to head outside with the camera to snap some pics of our funny little girl and her crazy hair.

Summer Water Fun!

What's wrong with this picture? I have a monkey for a child instead of a little girl, that's what's wrong.

Lila is such a climber, and I don't know what to do with her. She is much worse than either of my others. I've moved the bar stools into the garage, and the kitchen chairs sit on top of the table 90% of the time. It seems as soon as an opportunity opens up this girl doesn't miss a beat. I ran upstairs to grab something, and I guess that was just the opening she needed. She quickly pulled out a chair and slid it over to the counter to give her the boost she needed. So of course I grabbed my camera to document her antics. I keep gum in that cupboard and she knows it. I have recently moved the gum, but that has not kept her from checking anyway. (Yes, my baby chews gum like a seasoned professional, but that's a story for another day.) She has always been very curious. I know she will grow out of this phase soon, and I can't say that I will miss it. What makes me sad though is knowing she is my last and we won't go through this again. Even though it can be a terrible pain at times, I am not wishing her to grow up anytime soon. She keeps us laughing!

"You wanna piece of me?"
Looks like she means business.

This is what happens when you give Lila a chocolate cookie!

Don't ya just love that face?

So Sweet!

Which one do you like better?

I just wanted to give you all an update! Our sweet little baby girl was born on Tuesday, October 14th at 3:55 p.m. after only 9 hours of labor and 5 minutes of pushing. Because my other two were both 14 hour labors 9 hours does not seem so bad. She weighed 8 lbs. 13 ounces and is 19 ½ inches long. She is absolutely beautiful. I guess because the other two both have dimples like their dad, I was expecting her to have them as well but she doesn’t. She has dark hair and dark eyebrows and eyelashes. She seems to be darker than the other two were. She has the sweetest little mouth and chubby little cheeks. A few hours after delivery she was having a hard time breathing and had to be put on oxygen and kept in the level 2 nursery for a 48 hour observation. The doctor put her on IV antibiotics as a preventative measure while they were waiting for blood tests to come back. The results came back this morning and everything is fine as far as the blood work so they took her off the IV. However, she had a few episodes this morning when her oxygen levels dropped again. So instead of coming home today she will be observed for another 24 hours and given medication to treat reflux which the doctor thinks may be the cause of the oxygen saturation problem. I have been discharged from the hospital but am staying in the level 2 nursery lounge until Lila is released which will be tomorrow morning (Saturday) if all goes well. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
