Several months back Logan and I were given an assignment by Mrs. Reiber, Logan's kindergarten teacher. We needed to make either a number book or an ABC book for his end of the year program. The theme we came up with is "An A-Z of Logan's favorites." We had fun coming up with different ideas for each letter. I printed these pages out as 12 x 12's then cut them to fit into a 6 x 6 album. This past Friday was his program which was super cute. I am so proud of him. He got up there and sang his little heart out. We spent some time after the singing looking at the books made by the other students. I can't believe Kindergarten is coming to an end for Logan, he is getting so big. I wish I could find a way to keep him little, but I can't. I think he is pretty awesome!

Finally finished! I have been working on this baby quilt for my friend Melissa and her new baby. I am happy to say that it is finished and has been delivered. I love the way this quilt turned out. The colors are so cheerful, it was so much fun to make. Congratulations Melissa! Happy Birthday Emmy!

This treat is totally my weakness right now. They are so gooey and delicious, you have to try them and then let me know what you think.

Cookie Bars
2 cups butter
2 1/4 cups brown sugar
3 cups flour
3 cups old fashioned oats
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1 20 oz. bottle caramel topping
16 oz. milk chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts
Soften butter in microwave. In a large bowl mix butter, brown sugar, flour, oats, salt and soda together. Take 3/4 of mixture and press on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 8 minutes. Let cool, then pour on caramel, spread evenly. Sprinkle on chocolate chips and walnuts. Sprinkle remaining cookie mixture on the top. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 350.
They are really gooey and yummy when they are warm, but they are even better when they are cool and crunchy. Yum, yum, yum!

My sweet dad started a tradition a few years ago and it has seriously become a highlight of my year. Each year around Mother's Day he takes his wife, daughters, and daughters-in-law out for lunch and shopping at Gardner Village. If you've never eaten at Archibald's you are really missing out. Talk about comfort food...theirs is the best! And they have the most delicious carrot cake I have ever eaten. ("Until you try Liz's" is what everyone said) I'm really looking forward to the recipe Liz (hint hint.) It is always so enjoyable spending time with these wonderful women I am lucky enough to not only have in my life, but to call sisters. I love you all. Thanks for all the laughs!

Dad and Janet- Thanks for a wonderful day. You are awesome, I love you!

I finished a page last night. If I could just make myself finish a page everynight I might get caught up. Or...maybe not!
Spring Break is over! I am so sad:( So much for the daily blogging. Oh well! It was a pretty uneventful yet wonderful week. I spent most of my time just hanging out with my cute kiddos watching movies, playing games, sewing, and lots of playing outside-weather permitting.

Noelle spent some time turning this

into this. I am so pround of her.

Logan learned to do this:

He is so, so AWESOME!

And Lila did alot of this

and this:

How long until summer break? I can't wait!

I am just saying hi because it is midnight and I am tired, but when I make a promise to my girl I don't want to not fulfill it. Let me ask a question. Even if it's after midnight is it still considered today if you have not gone to sleep? I think so!

This is my post for the day. Love ya Noelle!

I know you will hate this picture but, oh well, you make me laugh!

We are a family who loves to play games. We have Logan the SORRY champ, Noelle the social butterfly who loves APPLES TO APPLES and WOULD YOU RATHER, Gavin who loves the newest addition BLOKUS, and for me nothing beats a couple decks of playing cards. I wonder which game will become Lila's favorite. Every family night Logan asks if we can play a game. It makes me so happy to see my children having fun. There is nothing better than a game to get them laughing and talking. I love to see their little minds at work trying to figure out their next move. We have more games than can fit in a picture, so here are a few of our favorites.
